Studio Zao helped LSE develop student and alumni entrepreneurship in the space of social impact by delivering a 2-day value proposition development workshop as part of their summer pre-accelerator.
The London School of Economics is the world’s pre-eminent economic, political and social science academic institution. LSE Generate is the home for entrepreneurship at LSE, focused on supporting and scaling socially-driven student and alumni ventures in the UK and across the globe.
LSE Generate asked for our help in supporting their 8-week Summer pre-accelerator programme by delivering a workshop focused on value proposition development using lean venture development principles, for their cohort of 10 startup ventures.
We designed and delivered a two-day workshop that took the cohort step-by-step through the practical process of defining a compelling value proposition, focusing on identifying and validating core assumptions, prioritising resources for a Minimum Viable Product, and constructing the most appropriate venture experiments to test in-market. We also provided 1-1 coaching to each team to help them focus on what’s important to them.
The process significantly clarified for the cohort precisely what they need to do and test, and with which customer segments. It helped them to understand the value of the lean approach structure, and how it can provide a very practical roadmap for their venture development. Studio Zao is now providing ongoing mentoring to support further.
